NORI is one of those places you drive past every day without realizing what a find it is. Susan and I had talked about visiting for a while, but road construction between Beachwalk and I-95 kept delaying the trip. Now that the road is almost finished, we can confidently say the drive is worth every minute. When we were invited to review NORI, we were excited to finally experience it.

The moment you walk in, you feel the difference. This is a family-owned restaurant, and that pride shows everywhere. The hand-painted murals on the walls were created by the owner, Nengah and his brother, adding a personal touch that immediately sets the tone.

Ambiance and Décor

The sushi bar is welcoming and creates a great connection between the guests and the chefs. The dining room feels relaxed but polished. NORI also stands out with a strong selection of wine, sake, and beer, which makes it appealing beyond just sushi lovers.

Menu and Drinks

The menu is one of the most impressive parts of the experience. Classic rolls, signature rolls, hibachi, Asian dishes, wings for game day, and kid-friendly options all coexist seamlessly. Food Quality

The Fuji Roll and St John’s Roll were both excellent, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. The Mie Goreng from the Asian menu was a highlight of the meal. Spicy, comforting, and layered with texture from the shrimp crackers and fried egg. We also enjoyed trying the krupuk, which added a fun and authentic element to the experience.

Overall Experience

NORI checks all the right boxes. It works equally well for a family dinner, a first date, lunch, or a relaxed Sunday watching football with wings and beer. Ending the meal with cheesecake tempura or fried ice cream only adds to the appeal.
