Mambo Restaurant at Matachica is an open-air beachfront dining destination located about five miles north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, Belize. The journey by golf cart or boat is part of the experience, leading to a romantic palapa setting with Caribbean views, polished service, a curated wine list, and refined island cuisine. Our meal included a fresh Summer Roll, beautifully prepared Seared Tuna with tropical fruit salsa and lemongrass rice, and the Deep Blue seafood entrée with calamari, shrimp, scallops, Caye Caulker crab claw, and a lime-vanilla beurre blanc. The restaurant earned especially high marks for ambiance, food quality, and overall experience.
